Pakistan Latest News: Supreme Court judges in Pakistan have received threats from a new group of militants. These threats were given to him through letters from a group named Tehreek-e-Namoos Pakistan (TNP). However, what is the purpose of these threatening letters? At present this has not been made clear. These threatening letters have been received by the Supreme Court judges at a time when earlier eight judges of the Islamabad High Court (including Chief Justice Amer Farooq) had received threatening letters. On Wednesday, Pakistan’s Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa vowed to thwart any attack on the independence of the judiciary. During this, he indicated that the case of alleged interference in judicial matters by powerful intelligence agencies will be heard by a full bench of the court.

On behalf of the Chief Justice of Pakistan it was said – Attack on the independence of the judiciary will not be tolerated. Judges should feel that they are not in danger. If there is any kind of attack on the independence of the judiciary, I will be in the front line (in defending the judiciary) and of course, my fellow judges will stand with me in this and we never accept interference.”
What did the militants say in the threatening letters?
Last year, a squad of the Wildlife Department had discovered explosives and maps related to sensitive installations of the Red Zone in the Margalla Hills on Trail Five in Islamabad in September. 17 September 2023 was the same day when Justice Qazi Faiz Isa was sworn in as the Chief Justice of Pakistan. In both the letters, the country’s judiciary and law enforcement agencies have been threatened.
